With these buttons, you can easily navigate through your images. The button with the camera icon in the center is Help. I really like the fact that Lightroom has no anchored or anchored dialog boxes. The program’s window slots are not anchored, so you don’t need to click them to get to them, and you don’t need to click on the lower right corner of the screen either to close the program if you like. Instead of looking for a specific channel, as it was previously, you can just click on the color wheel and view it. Or, if you’re dealing with something like black and white, for instance, you just click the channel and it will automatically make the switch.

Photoshop is available for around $700, though recent deals have slashed this to below $400. The Photoshop Elements is $150, and the Photoshop product is sold separately at $400. Both programs are also available for iOS devices.

Adobe has recently announced the new feature releases for Photoshop for 2021, as well as a range of new additions to Photoshop Elements. When photos lack clarity, Exposure Adjust, Detail, and Sharpness tools help to fix each. Notably, the Detail tool allows you to re-sample an image, improving texture and detail. If text is blurry, the Reverse Text tool evens out fonts.

When problems arise, Adobe still offers free online help – it’s just not as convenient as before. It used to be that you could zoom in online and see the problem in fine detail. The new Online Help feature uses a new focus on providing guidance rather than instructions. It only appears after you zoom in on a problem area. And it isn’t likely to be as useful as in Adobe’s desktop apps, where a second or two’s delay isn’t as noticeable as it is in the cloud option.

Perhaps the most significant drawback to the online version is the unfamiliar interface. It’s not nearly as easy to use as the desktop editing interface and even though it works semi-automatically using the Creative Cloud app, its workflow is still complex.

Adobe’s Photoshop Mobile app for iOS is now on version 6.1. The main change is that the app’s speed has been improved. It now appears to use the latest version of Apple’s Core Graphics (CG) technology. As a result, 5.1 fps video is now supported in both Premiere Pro and Photoshop. All that speed comes at the cost of GPU performance, though.

Photoshop on the web also offers some welcome improvements. Responsive Design mode, Switch Camera option, new map, new printing, and enhanced PDF output allow you to view your web design portfolio on your desktop even if you only have Adobe’s Photoshop on the web.
