1. How to use the Crop tool in Photoshop Elements

Use the Crop tool

The first step to editing images is to use the crop tool (built-in to Photoshop Elements) to free the image from the background.

Crop an image

Select the Crop tool and select the area of the image that you want to keep (crop) and click on crop.

The cropped image is on the top right.

Make adjustments

You can then use the crop tool to freely crop and resize the image and the paper modeling software. After cropping the image, you can remove the background and borders in Photoshop Elements. It’s useful to remove these borders so you can see the whole image and draw new lines or shapes in the background.

2. How to merge images

Synchronize the layers

If you have multiple images, you should synchronize the layers first. When working with layered images, you need to keep the layers synchronized with each other. If you uncheck Synchronize Layers, the images will show up one on top of the other.

Use the Select tool (w)

Press and hold Ctrl (Command on a Mac) and click once on the area in the image that you want to combine.
